President Bush signed H.R. 2764 (Omnibus Spending Bill)into law which included a provision that FPS maintains, by July 31, 2008, not fewer than 1,200 full-time staff and 900 full time Police
Officers, Inspectors, Area Commanders, and Special Agents who, while working, are directly engaged on a daily basis protecting and enforcing laws at Federal buildings and a 3.5% pay

AFGE praised Congress for reaching an FY08 budget agreement which includes a well deserved pay raise for federal workers and will increase staffing levels at the Federal Protective
